Private sessions incorporate discussions, guidance on teaching methods and opportunities to practice teach, meditation and breathwork tools, philosophy, and tips for starting or continuing your personal practice.
This 30-hour Yoga Alliance credentialled course will cover:
James Nestor's recent work & research from his book Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art
Skills in guiding others in breathwork & meditation techniques, such as full yogic breath, alternate nostril breath, Bhramari breath, breath of fire, and more
Personal strategies to keep or continue a steady meditation practice
The yoga sutras' and their guidance in concentration, breathwork, and meditation techniques
Dr. Neibauer's work from his book No Self No Problem in the roles of the nervous system, neuroscience, and contemplative practices
Participants will meet with Meg once a week online for one hour, for 30 weeks. This course may be taken based on the pace of the student, but completion within one year is recommended.
The required books for the course are:
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, by Swami Satchidananda;
Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art, by James Nestor;
and No Self No Problem, by Dr. Chris Neibauer
Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of this course and yoga teachers- hours will be added to your Yoga Alliance profile.
