200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Awake Minds 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program is a registered Yoga Alliance program designed to empower you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become a certified vinyasa yoga and meditation instructor. Whether you aspire to teach yoga professionally or simply deepen your understanding of this ancient practice, our comprehensive training will guide you on a transformative journey.

Program Details

Dates: October 2024 - August 2025

Registration closes October 1st.

Location: Online on Google Meet & In-Person in Newburyport, MA, specific location TBA

Tuition: $3,799 paid in full or two installments of $2,049.50 (total $4,099)

Time Commitment:

Monthly in-person in Newburyport, MA: Group sessions on the first Saturday of every month from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Vitality Family Medicine, Newburyport, MA. Program kick-off will be in-person on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Weekly Online: One-on-one with Meg for one hour every week. We pick a time that works best together to address your unique goals, whether you're aiming to teach in hospitals, studios, schools, or other settings. Your aspirations drive our sessions, ensuring a tailored approach to your personal practice and teaching journey.

Long Weekends in-person in Newburyport, MA (location TBA soon): 5 days (October 10 - 14, 2024), 4 days (January 17-20, 2025), & 4 days (March 14-17, 2025)

Join Meg in diving into the brain science behind meditation and contemplative practices. Each session will incorporate discussions, meditation and breathwork, stretches, and tips for starting or continuing your personal practice.

This eight-week online series will include:

  • Dr. Chris Niebauer’s work and research in the book No Self No Problem - we will read one chapter each week.

  • Discussions on the bridge between science & spirituality.

  • Practices to start and/ or maintain a daily breathwork and meditation practice.

  • The science of your mind, body, breath, nervous system connection…and more.

Are you a yoga teacher or someone who is interested in learning more about the benefits of breathwork and meditation for your personal practice or in teaching others? Join Meghan Leighton, 800 hour E-RYT, for an eight-week workshop series to explore pranayama (breathwork), Ayurveda (yoga's sister science), and meditation tools for ease and balance. We'll dive into neuroscience, the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Ayurveda tips from the book Healing Your Life, by Dr. Marc Halpern, practical tools for everyday life, and tips for teaching others.

*30 Yoga Alliance hours earned for yoga instructors, although, you don't have to be a Registered Yoga Teacher to sign up. All are welcome!

Anyone is welcome to drop into class if there is space ($50 per session) but in order to earn Yoga Alliance credits you must sign up for the full series ($320 for 8 weeks)
